A few Seattle startups were honored for their tech innovations at the 18th annual Webby Awards, an Oscars-style bash for Internet innovation, creativity and other wacky stuff.
Real estate website Zillow, location-sharing technology startup Glympse and family organizer app Cozi all won awards.
Zillow, which was nominated in two categories, took home both a Webby and a “People’s Voice” award for the second straight year in the real estate website category. Glympse, meanwhile, won in the “Best Use of GPS or Location Technology” for mobile & apps.
Although it didn’t win a Webby, Cozi was the “People’s Voice” winner for the “Services & Utilities,” mobile category. The same goes for Seattle-based creative agency Wunderman Seattle, which won a “People’s Voice” award in the “Consumer Electronics” website category.
There were 11 nominations from the Seattle area in total. The Webby Awards ceremony is slated for May 19 in New York and will air online one day later.
