Almost ready to go at the 2014 GeekWire Summit.

We’ve been preparing for this day for months, and we’re excited to get the third annual GeekWire Summit rolling.

More than 750 people will be joining us in person at the Westin Seattle on Thursday for this event, which brings together entrepreneurs, executives and tech leaders for a conversation about the future of business and technology.

The festivities actually got started on Wednesday night, with a great pre-party for attendees at the downtown Seattle headquarters of Zillow, overlooking Elliott Bay.

Summit speakers on hand for the pre-party included Steven VanRoekel, the U.S. chief information officer; National Geographic contributing photographer Chad Copeland; and Brooke Martin, the 14-year-old founder of iCPooch, one of the inventions that will be featured in a special session at the event this year.

There’s nothing like being there in person, but if you aren’t able to make it to the event this year, the GeekWire news team will be covering the event throughout the day on the site — including highlights from interviews with newsmakers such as drone entrepreneur and former WIRED editor Chris Anderson; T-Mobile CEO John Legere; Walmart global e-commerce CEO Neil Ashe; journalists Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher; Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman and many more.

We’ve got some fun surprises in store throughout the day, and you can check out the full agenda on the event page.

If you are attending the event on Thursday, check out our FAQ for attendees with all the key details. See you bright and early Thursday morning!
