We’re getting excited to host more than 800 of you for the big GeekWire Gala, taking place next Wednesday at the newly-renovated Museum of History & Industry.

We’ll be raising a toast to the top Newsmakers of the Year, and spreading some geeky holiday cheer. But one of the coolest new aspects of the Gala this year is the Seattle 10 — a list of 10 of the hottest startups in the Seattle area.

In partnership with the Museum of History & Industry, we selected 10 up-and-coming companies in Seattle and asked each of them to sketch their business concepts on giant six-foot by six-foot cocktail napkins.

We’re just starting to get a sneak peek at some of the creations — which I’ve got to say look absolutely stunning. All 10 of the cocktail napkins will make their debut at the Gala on December 4th, prominently displayed in the museum’s main hall. (The Seattle 10 includes: CreativeLive; Context Relevant; HasOffers; Hointer; Innovega; Modumetal; Porch; Presage Biosciences; Planetary Resources; and SNUPI).

Tickets are still available for the Gala, so make sure to get yours today. Even better, make the GeekWire Gala your company’s holiday party by signing up for the group rate.

Meanwhile, here’s an inside look at how Seattle startup Porch created their cocktail napkin.

A big thanks to the Museum of History & Industry and the Bezos Center for Innovation for helping to make the Seattle 10 possible. See everyone on Dec. 4th!
