Amazon Prime is now available in Canada but without a few key benefits.

The Seattle online retail giant announced today that Prime membership is launching in Canada for 79 CAD per year. Amazon Prime shoppers in Canada can now enjoy free two-day shipping.

However, the Canadian version of Prime does not include benefits like Instant Video streaming and Kindle ebook lending, like Prime customers in the U.S. have.

Canada’s Times Colonist reports that Amazon was ready to bring Prime to Canada once a second fulfillment facility was opened just south of Vancouver, B.C.

Amazon Prime is also available in six other countries outside the U.S. and Canada.

Editor’s note, 12:50 p.m.: The 79 CAD price point was incorrectly written as per month. It’s 79 CAD per year.
