First spotted by 9to5 Mac, the unspecified deals haven’t been announced in the U.S. just yet, but in the past, they’ve included discounts on iPads, iPods and Macs. For people who want to take advantage of Apple’s savings, the deals will be available with free shipping from Apple’s online store, so people don’t have to go brave the retail crowds if they don’t want to.

msft-blackfridayBlack Friday is big business for retailers, and many of Apple’s competitors also offer serious deals. Microsoft, for example, has already started a sale for laptops, tablets and other gadgets to “get a jump on Black Friday”

Especially with major retailers like Amazon and Walmart offering deep discounts on popular products from Apple’s competitors, the company has to remain competitive on Black Friday. Considering that Apple’s retail outlets are often near other retailers that are offering discounts on Friday, it makes sense for the company to make similar deals available.

All told, Black Friday is expected to bring in $13.6 billion worth of revenue for retailers, according to a report by IBISWorld, and Apple, alongside its competitors, is looking to grab a piece of that pie.
