Lunch & Learn: Fake Patients, Real Problems – Using Synthetic Data in Health Tech
SeaHealth Tech, in partnership with AI House, hosts a hands-on lunch workshop on a problem every health tech team runs into: test data. Real patient data is often off limits, and synthetic data can quietly introduce problems of its own.
Terry Virdell, founder and CEO of Your Data Health, will walk attendees through comparing real, de-identified, synthetic and AI-generated test data, with a table exercise on which data-quality problems get caught and which slip through. Expect discussion and open Q&A rather than slides. No healthcare data background is required, and all patient data used will be synthetic.
Networking starts at 11:30 a.m., and the session begins at noon. Tickets are $22 and registration requires host approval.
