Cloud Native Seattle: A First Look at MCP Events & Kubernetes Rightsizing

The Cloud Native Seattle meetup, a CNCF community group, gathers at Docker’s office in the Seattle Maritime Building for two technical talks.
- Debosmit Ray, CEO and co-founder of DevZero — “Live Rightsizing: Why Kubernetes Resource Tuning Doesn’t Have to Mean Restarts.” On continuous rightsizing that adjusts resources at runtime, the tradeoffs of mutating running containers, and where the Vertical Pod Autoscaler falls short.
- Aman Singh, principal software engineer at Microsoft and a maintainer of the CNCF sandbox project Drasi — “Agents That Wake Themselves: A First Look at MCP Events.” A tour of a drafted protocol extension that would let agents subscribe to events in external systems and be woken when they occur.
Doors at 5 p.m., networking with pizza and drinks at 5:30, talks from 6. Food and drinks provided by sponsor DevZero.
Note: capacity is nearly full — only a handful of spots remained at the time of listing, and registration requires approval.
