A.I. in Medicine: A Deep Dive with Justin C. Key and Lakshmi Krishnan
Clarion West’s Deep Dives series turns to health technology, pairing a practicing psychiatrist who writes science fiction with a physician-scholar of medical humanities.
Justin C. Key, a psychiatrist and author of the novel The Hospital at the End of the World, joins Lakshmi Krishnan, M.D., Ph.D., founding director of Medical Humanities at Georgetown University and a 2026-27 Radcliffe fellow, to discuss data privacy, innovation in treatment, and the risks of unregulated healthcare technology as science fiction has long imagined them.
A book signing follows. General admission is free; VIP tickets add a 6 p.m. meet-and-greet reception, priority seating and a gift bag. A virtual option with live Q&A is also available. The 2026 series theme is “Futures Less Dystopian.”
