Seattle sales tech startup Outreach hired Abhijit Mitra as president of product and technology.
Mitra previously was chief product officer at Comure and was a senior vice president at ServiceNow. He also spent time at SAP and Oracle.
Outreach, launched in 2014, has more than 6,000 customers including Zoom, Siemens, Okta, DocuSign, and McKesson. It raised $114 million in 2021 and surpassed a $1 billion valuation.
But the company has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs over the past year, most recently in September.
Amritansh Raghav, the company’s former executive vice president of engineering, resigned Sept. 21.

- Microsoft’s Xbox division is getting a leadership shuffle as Matt Booty was promoted to president of game content and studios, overseeing ZeniMax and Bethesda, while Sarah Bond is now Xbox president. Microsoft also announced Thursday that CMO Chris Capossela is stepping down after more than three decades at the tech giant.
- Mike Eilola stepped down as senior vice president of operations at Blue Origin, according to a report from Reuters. Eilola joined Blue Origin in 2021 after stints at Celestica, Honeywell Aerospace, and Mattel. Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith is set to depart at the end of the year.
- Seattle DEI software startup Included hired Anna Bethke as director of data science and machine learning. Bethke previously held leadership positions at Salesforce — where she was a principal AI ethics data scientist — as well as Facebook and Intel.
- Bellevue, Wash.-based software company Nintex hired Sean Goldstein as chief revenue officer. Goldstein previously held the same position at Lucid Software and spent more than 13 years at Salesforce. Nintex also added Asana exec Neeracha Taychakhoonavudh to its board.
- Rob Relyea, a software engineer who spent 30 years at Microsoft, is stepping away from the company, he announced on LinkedIn. In 2022, Relyea took a leave when his wife got cancer to build a tool that helps immunocompromised people locate an anti-COVID drug.
- University of Washington graduate students Miranda Wei and Mitchell Wortsman earned Google Ph.D. Fellowships, awarded annually to about 75 people around the world. Wei is focused on security and privacy; Worstman is focused on machine learning.
- Battery materials manufacturer Group14 Technologies appointed Don Kersey as plant manager of the factory the company is building in Moses Lake, Wash. Kersey previously held a similar role for 28 years at a safety device manufacturing company in the same region and was executive director at the Port of Moses Lake.
