— Compensation data company Payscale hired two new executives: Nolan Farris as president and chief operating officer, and Raj Cherukuri as chief technology officer.

  • Farris previously spent more than 14 years at jobs platform Indeed, most recently as chief revenue officer. He also worked at Yahoo as a senior director of sales, and at Accenture.
  • Cherukuri previously served as chief product officer at identity and security company BeyondTrust. He took on that role after BeyondTrust acquired Bomgar Corporation, where Cherukuri was vice president of engineering. He also served in engineering leadership roles at SkyTel, which became a division of Verizon and then Bell Industries through a series of acquisitions.

Gwen Hall was appointed CEO of of Factor, a Seattle-based information architecture consulting firm.

Hall, the firm’s first CEO, takes the reins from co-founders Bram Wessel and Gary Carlson. The pair launched Factor ten years ago and will stay with the company, which offers services to companies to “unravel and unify complex information environments.”

Hall previously spent 20 years at consulting firm Point B, most recently as customer executive for life science, cell and gene therapy. She is also co-owner of a home services company.

Other key personnel changes across the Pacific Northwest tech industry:

  • David Miller, a principal at Alpine Bioventures, joined Curevo Vaccine as senior director of strategic communications. Miller previously held leadership roles at Angion and Alpine Immune Sciences.
  • Adriane Brown, a managing partner at Flying Fish Partners, retired from the board of Washington Research Foundation, which announced a $100,000 grant in her honor to the Pacific Science Center. Brown is an emeritus board member at the Science Center and was formerly president and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems.
  • Minh Le, previously a Silicon Valley Bank leader in the Seattle area, joined Stifel Bank as managing director.
  • Wayne Kimber, a longtime finance leader who was previously CFO at SymphonyAI, joined Kirkland, Wash.-based cloud ERP company Acumatica as its CFO.
  • HoJin Kim, formerly chief revenue officer at The Channel Company, joined Seattle cybersecurity firm WatchGuard Technologies as senior vice president and chief revenue officer.
  • David May, previously president of Eastern Washington University, was appointed president of Bellevue College. He takes the reins from former Washington state Gov. Gary Locke, who became interim president in 2020.
  • Mike Witkowski, previously chief financial officer at venture capital firm Maveron, is now chief financial officer and a partner at Primary Venture Partners.
