Amazon is discussing plans to create an ad-supported tier to its Prime Video platform, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. The move would boost revenue for Amazon’s growing advertising business, which brought in $9.5 billion last quarter, up 21%. One options includes adding more advertisements to content on Prime Video for Prime members, and then offering a more expensive ad-free tier.
