Seattle real estate giants Zillow Group and Redfin announced a rare syndication partnership Tuesday related to the sharing of new construction listings.
- Zillow says it has the largest selection of new-construction communities of all real estate websites in the U.S., including on its “Zillow Community” pages. Those listings will now automatically show up in Redfin search results, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2023. “We believe this partnership will benefit our entire New Construction advertising marketplace,” said Zillow spokesperson Emily McDonald.
- Redfin exec Adam Wiener said the partnership provides the company with a new revenue opportunity. “This is a win-win-win for our customers, agents and the builders who advertise with Zillow, who will now reach the homebuyers on Redfin,” he said in a statement.
- Zillow and Redfin are longtime rivals in the online real estate sector. They partnered last year on sharing 3D home tours and interactive floor plans.
