Photos: Geeking out inside the GeekWire Awards with surprise guests, a lovable droid and more

Bee boop beep beep boo dee doo weeeeeeeee! We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, R2-D2.

The 2023 GeekWire Awards were worth chirping about Thursday night — in droid speak, chatbot, or any other language — as the Seattle community came together to honor the best of Pacific Northwest Tech.

The Star Wars theme lit up Showbox SoDo and smiles lit up the faces of the winners, honorees, finalists and everyone else who partied with a variety of surprise guests and tech movers and shakers.

Guests wielded light sabers in the photo booth, dined, networked, sipped signature cocktails in the VIP party and scooped up nitrogen ice cream in the after party.
