SecureW2 announced $80 million in its first funding round to boost the company’s security software that automates and authorizes access to networks and applications.

  • The startup helps enable certificate-based “passwordless” security products used by various organizations in industries such as enterprise software, education and healthcare.
  • The company is based in Amsterdam but has regional offices in Seattle and Chennai, India. Its CEO and co-founder, Bert Kashyap, is in Seattle. He previously was a sales director at Avaya. SecureW2 co-founder Tom Rixom is based in Amsterdam.
  • “This is the right inflection point in SecureW2’s journey to join forces with Insight Partners, whose track record as a leading cybersecurity software investor is going to immediately benefit our current and future customers,” Kashyap said in a statement.
