Visual Layer on Tuesday announced a $7 million seed round co-led by Seattle’s Madrona Venture Group. The Tel Aviv-based startup helps machine learning developers automatically catch errors in large-scale image sets to produce higher-quality computer vision models. The company was co-founded by Stanford professor Carlos Guestrin, who previously co-founded Turi, a Seattle startup acquired by Apple in 2016.
