Vega Cloud, a Spokane, Wash.-area startup that helps companies optimize their cloud-related infrastructure investments, raised $9 million in an equity and debt funding round led by Album VC and Sun Mountain Capital. The 4-year-old company is led by Kris Bliesner, who previously started and led another cloud optimization company 2nd Watch. Other backers of Vega Cloud include Kick-Start, Incisive Ventures, Rudeen & Company, the Cowles Company, Tacoma Ventures, Tapas Capital, the Seattle Alliance of Angels.
