Wicket Labs, a Seattle startup that provides audience data to online video providers, has been acquired by publicly traded video platform Brightcove. Terms were not disclosed. Wicket gives media and entertainment companies a “Wicket Scorecard” that shows how streaming content viewers choose what they watch and why customers churn. Marty Roberts and Ian Blaine, former colleagues at thePlatform, launched Wicket Labs in 2016. The startup raised about $7 million from investors including WestRiver Group, Madrona Venture Group, and Divergent Ventures, according to PitchBook. It employs 13 people — all will join Brightcove.
