Nucleate, a student-run biotech training program, is now in Seattle. The program was founded in 2018 by Harvard graduate students to offer a crash course in commercializing academic research projects, and has been expanding to biotech clusters nationwide, from San Diego to Houston. Nucleate connects participants with potential co-founders, fellowships, legal advice, cloud computing and other lab support in its six-month program, which is accepting applications in Seattle. “Our ultimate goal is to cultivate a strong community of entrepreneurial trainees in Seattle,” said Melih Yilmaz, a University of Washington graduate student and co-managing director of Nucleate Seattle.
