The Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) has announced the names of the 26 tech startups from across Washington state that will be participating in the organization’s latest Founder Cohort Program.

Part of WTIA’s Startup Program, the Founder Cohort supports entrepreneurs and helps them develop their venture-scale companies over the course of a year. Each company must be headquartered in Washington, have at least one product in development, have an annual revenue of less than $1 million, and made it through WTIA’s application process.

The program is led by a committee of seasoned tech founders and entrepreneurs and is designed to guide the startups through such things as fundraising, corporate governance, and customer development.

Here are details on just a few of the startups taking part:

  • CardioCube is a physician-led startup whose membership-based virtual healthcare service provides employees at companies of all sizes with unlimited virtual access to doctors and care management powered by voice AI.
  • Focused on the health of your pup, PetBiotix was started by a husband and wife team of veterinarians who have developed products and services to help maintain the healthy bacteria in dogs’ gastrointestinal tracts.
  • VR Ulysses uses the power of virtual reality to help users better explore data, believing that the brain has an innate ability to process and remember information consumed in 3D.

“Launching a startup can be a lonely journey, but it really shouldn’t be,” said Michael Schutzler, CEO of WTIA. “Founders need relevant support and resources to help their companies grow, but securing those resources and connecting to relevant folks usually doesn’t happen organically. So, we’ve gathered the relevant resources and experts for them, building the village to support them on their journey.”
