Semios, a Vancouver, B.C.-based company that develops agriculture technology for permanent crops, today announced a $75 million investment round.

  • Founded in 2010, Semios’ wireless IoT network helps farmers assess the yield and grade of their tree fruit, nut, and vine crops in near real-time. Sensors measure climate, soil moisture, and insect and disease activity.
  • Semios manages more than 150,000 acres of crops across more than 500 farms in the U.S. The company’s revenue has doubled year-over-year since 2015.
  • Boston-based Morningside Group led the funding round. Total capital raised to date is $115 million.
