Compass, the heavily funded real estate startup, has opened another office in the Seattle area, continuing an arc of rapid growth in the region that began nearly two years ago.

  • The new 18,000-square-foot office in The Bravern complex in downtown Bellevue, Wash. will house close to 180 brokers, the company said.
  • Since first landing in the Seattle area in 2018, Compass has grown to approximately 500 people in the region. That includes 415 brokers across seven offices and a new tech outpost just down the road from Amazon that is home to 100 product, engineering and design workers.
  • Last September, Compass raised a massive $370 million funding round at a valuation of $6.4 billion. The company has raised $1.5 billion in its lifetime.
