Six Pacific Northwest startups made Silicon Valley venture capital titan Andreessen Horowitz’s new ranking of the 100 top consumer marketplaces.
- The highest ranked Pacific Northwest startup on the new Marketplace 100 list is Valve, the Bellevue-Wash.-based company behind the Steam gaming marketplace, at No. 5.
- Also making the list are Rover (No. 7), Vacasa (No. 9), Varsity Tutors (No. 27), Avvo (No. 55) and OfferUp (No. 58).
- The top startup on Andreessen Horowitz’s list was Airbnb, the home-sharing giant that has become a top IPO candidate this year. Airbnb first established an engineering outpost in Seattle in 2016, and last month it expanded the office.
