Elon Musk seems unhappy about fellow uber rich person Bill Gates’ choice in vehicles.

Gates revealed in an interview with popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee that he recently bought a Porsche Taycan, his first electric vehicle. Musk, never one to hold his tongue or keyboard, took to Twitter and said his conversations with the Microsoft co-founder have been “underwhelming” after a user questioned why Gates didn’t go for a Tesla.

Gates is known as a luxury car collector — he famously fought so hard to import a rare Porsche 959 that he helped get a special law passed. The Taycan, with a price tag of $185,000 for its most expensive model, costs a lot more than the top-end Tesla, but what’s $90,000 to the world’s second-richest person?

“I have to say, it’s a premium price car but it is very, very cool,” Gates said in the YouTube interview. “That’s my first electric car and I’m enjoying it a lot.”

However, Gates went out of his way to praise Tesla for bringing electric vehicles into the mainstream, an important development in the battle against climate change.

“Tesla, if you had to name one company that’s helped drive that, it’s them,” said Gates.

This isn’t the first time Musk has logged on to criticize a fellow tech luminary. In 2017, Musk traded barbs with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg over artificial intelligence. He called Zuckerberg’s knowledge on the concept “limited.”
