We probably all know someone who wanted to be an astronaut when they grew up. You may even have wanted to be one yourself. Our fascination with space forms the basis for many of our favorite books, movies, television shows, games … you name it. Unfortunately, being an astronaut not only takes years of training, but it’s also one of the riskiest jobs you can have. We’ve lost some great people who dared to take the journey into space. The Museum of Flight will have a display honoring fallen astronauts starting on Jan. 25 and running through Feb. 3.

Elsewhere in Seattle … if you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at building board games, now you have a chance. MOHAI is offering the opportunity to meet with local game designers as they help you build your own game. The event is scheduled for Jan. 26 at MOHAI in Seattle.
