One wooden pitch. Four focused players. Twenty six plastic foos characters.

Foosball is back at the 2019 GeekWire Bash, one of seven epic tournaments taking place at our annual geek festival on March 7 in Seattle.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a more casual fan of the game, the Bash is the best place to put your table soccer skills to the test. The competition is fierce across the intermediate and expert brackets, and both tournaments fill up quickly, so be sure to go here to register with your partner today, before the tournament deadline of Feb. 22.

If you are not into table top soccer, that’s OK. Geeks of all ages are welcome to enjoy our other activities, everything from virtual reality to video games to a cross-venue zipline! General admission tickets on sale now here.

The 2018 Foosball tournaments drew over 100 players to the miniature soccer field. Friends and former Google colleagues Russ Brennan and Nick Gorski claimed victory in the expert bracket, narrowly defeating Ryan Anderson and Jeremy Kirby of DoubleDown interactive.

DoubleDown is already signed up for the 2019 foos tourney, and they are looking to take the crown, so watch out foos players.

Matt Quint and Annie Love of Geocaching took the intermediate title at the 2018 GeekWire Bash, beating Chase Snyder and David Botha of ExtraHop.

Foosball tournament participants must register in pairs and arrive for check in by 3:30 p.m. Due to tournament logistics, players may only participate in one sport/tournament at the Bash (additional tournaments include ping pong, dodgeball and Catan).

Matches will be a best-of-3 game series, with 5 points needed to win each game. Each match will be limited to 18 minutes. The full set of rules for Foosball can be found here. No Spinning! The tournament is single-elimination, but your player registration includes access to the entire Bash.

Foosball participants will receive additional tournament information closer to the event date. Full bracket announcements are coming soon! Register as a pair today.
