Star Wars fans looking to stuff a little extra cuteness in someone’s stocking this holiday season will have to wait. But at least Baby Yoda is going to become a real toy thing.

Funko, the Everett, Wash.-based creator of pop-culture merchandise, announced Tuesday that it will be creating a Pop! figurine for “The Child,” a Yoda-looking character that has people going goo and gah all through the new Disney+ live-action streaming series “The Mandalorian.”

“This adorable little alien is a perfect addition to your Pop! collection,” Funko said in a blog post.

But those big green ears won’t be poking through Christmas wrapping paper. The item, which will be available in standard Pop! size and a 10-inch version, won’t be available for shipment until spring. But you can pre-order one now.

Funko promises additional details are coming.

The company, which holds licenses for a wide variety of popular movie, TV and comic book characters, is promoting other Star Wars Pop! figures on its website, including the actual Mandalorian, who is Baby Yoda’s sidekick, after all.

Mattel is also getting in on The Child toy game, with an 11-inch plush doll. CNBC reported that the $25 product is also available for pre-order and won’t be in anyone’s hands in time for the holiday.
