Finally, the hot dog hero America has been waiting for.
Oscar Mayer has added another transportation device to its fleet of Wienermobiles with a the launch Monday of Super Hotdogger, a jet-pack powered hot dog delivery person.
“It’s our mission to get a better hot dog in every hand,” a voiceover says in a video showing off the orange and yellow-clad hero. Super Hotdogger is shown flying over water and even passing the famous hot-dog-in-a-bun-shaped Wienermobile as it drives down a nearby roadway.
Last year, Oscar Mayer rolled out a hot-dog-dropping WienerDrone — “the first unmanned hot dog-carrying aircraft designed for remote location delivery.”
A quick Google search put a number on hot dog consumption by Americans during the July 4 holiday: 150 million.
