The Ewoks are going to want to run for their lives if this thing tramps through the woods of Oregon.

A bipedal robot named Cassie, created at Oregon State University, was outfitted to look like an AT-ST Walker from the Star Wars film “Return of the Jedi” — and for once we’re feeling more nostalgic than petrified about the possibilities.

Originally designed by OSU’s Dynamic Robotics Lab, Cassie is now designed, built and supported by Agility Robotics out of Albany, Ore. Tech Crunch pointed to the video above on Monday.

With tiny stormtroopers along for the ride, and convincing “pew-pew” laser effects added, Cassie the AT-ST is just the Star Wars fix we were looking for.
