So who did NBC’s comedy writers pick as the final four for the Seattle-based online retailing giant’s second headquarters, with 50,000 high-paying jobs and $5 billion at stake?
There’s Boston, with Casey Affleck (played by Alex Moffat) putting in an underwhelming pitch. (“I live in L.A. now … maybe put your office there?”)
Atlanta’s delegation brings Bezos a can of Coke, a Chick-Fil-A sandwich and celebrity chef Paula Deen (played by Aidy Bryant) bearing a dish of her signature three-butter pudding. (“It’s the dish the American Heart Association rated ‘Don’t!'”)
Newark, N.J., is represented by Sen. Cory Booker (Chris Redd), who admits “I know we’re not getting this at all” and storms away with a #TearsOfRage hashtag.
And then there’s Miami, “a diverse group of people, all living in harmony together: Cubans, Jews, gays … lizards, bugs, beans, cocaine!” Their celebrity representative is Pitbull (Mikey Day).

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is portrayed by Kyle Mooney in a bald wig, with the Alexa AI assistant as his trusty sidekick. “Just to make sure, Alexa, who’s the richest man in the world?” Mooney/Bezos asks.
“The richest man in the world is … Jeff Bay-Zoos,” Alexa answers.
“Uh, close enough,” Mooney/Bezos says.
The skit may not come up to the level of, say, Kate McKinnon’s gender-bending guest shot as special counsel Robert Mueller on “Weekend Update” — but Amazonians and Seattleites should get a kick out of seeing the Spheres and an Amazon drone show up on screen. Watch the video here:
