It’s been a rough few months for Geoffrey, the giraffe mascot for defunct retailer Toys R Us.

Not only did Geoffrey lose his job when the toy giant shuttered its stores at the end of June. The towering mascot nearly lost his head, too, when he stuck his long neck in the ring during a FSCW rumble at Supercon in Florida on Friday.

And to make matters worse for Geoffrey and the legacy of his lost employer, the giraffe was taken out by an Amazon package. It was bitter irony for longtime Toys R Us, which some said couldn’t survive in its modern battle as a big-box big shot against Amazon and e-commerce.

Geoffrey was appearing to hold his own in the ring, slamming a couple guys before jumping on the ropes to celebrate. But a wrestler named Gangrel made a phone call which resulted in the delivery of a mysterious box.

“Gangrel made a delivery from Amazon!” the announcer shouted.

And then Gangrel shouted, “Amazon Prime …!” as he slammed the box against unsuspecting Geoffrey.

The giraffe tumbled out of the ring. Clearly not ready for Prime time.
