Nintendo is not slowing down. After teasing fans throughout the past week with a series of enigmatic tweets, this morning Nintendo announced a surprisingly large batch of new titles, remastered releases, and game updates coming later this year to their super successful Switch console.

Highlights of this morning’s announcements include two brand-new Switch titles, three remastered Switch-exclusive releases, six cross-platform titles coming to Switch, and updates for three of 2017’s biggest Switch games.

The United States’ fastest-selling game console ever is getting two brand-new exclusive titles this spring, with Kirby Star Allies set to release on March 16 and Mario Tennis Aces later in the spring.

Three remastered titles were also announced for the Switch, with updated versions of the Wii U titles Hyrule Warriors and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze coming in the spring, followed later in the year by a “Remix” version of the 2008 Nintendo DS title The World Ends with You.

Past Nintendo consoles have suffered from a lack of third-party and cross-platform support, but this morning’s announcements showed that Nintendo continues to make solid progress on that front as well, with Dark Souls: Remastered heading to Switch in May and Payday 2 in February.

Four brand-new cross-platform titles are also coming to Switch this year: Celeste, which won a coveted spot in the PAX 10 at PAX West last year, is coming to Switch on January 25. Fe, a beautiful stylized platform adventure game is coming on February 16. Summer will see the release of both the 2v2 fighting game SNK Heroines ~Tag Team Frenzy~ and action RPG Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.

In addition to all the new titles, Nintendo also announced a free update coming to Super Mario Odyssey next month that includes a competitive online mode called “Luigi’s Balloon World” and some new costumes. The Ubisoft / Nintendo crossover tactics game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is getting Donkey Kong DLC this spring, and Pokémon fighting game Pokkén Tournament DX is getting a two-part “Battle Pack” update in the coming months.

Most of what Nintendo announced today will be release by the end of spring, and we know that they’ve got even more in their pocket for later this year, such as new titles in the Yoshi, Bayonetta, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime series.

If anyone doubted that Nintendo is serious about building on the success of the Switch in 2018, this morning’s announcements should go a long way toward convincing them otherwise.
