StayWell, a Pennsylvania-based subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant Merck, announced Monday that it has acquired Portland, Ore., based digital health company Provata Health. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the company said Provata’s employees will become StayWell employees and give the company a presence in Portland. StayWell focuses on health and wellness technologies that rely on science behind behavior change; Provata makes wellness engagement tools for employers, health systems and hospital systems, including interactive patient dashboards, virtual reality programs for stress management and digital health games.
