Six weeks after announcing a slew of new iPhones, Apple was back on stage today, this time giving a first look at new versions of its flagship tablets and laptops.

Today’s event in New York City did not include any brand new hardware, but it did include updates of products that haven’t been refreshed in several years. A new-look iPad Pro led the way, with Apple executives bragging not only about its prowess against other tablets but laptops as well. Apple has sold more than 400 million iPads since it first introduced the device in 2010.

Kicking off the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook said there are 100 million Macs in use today. And 51 percent of buyers are new to the Mac ecosystem.

These new devices, according to Cook, are the greenest Macs yet. That’s because the machine bodies are made entirely of recycled aluminum.

Here’s a look at the refreshed devices Apple unveiled today:

The super-thin MacBook was badly in need of refresh, with the last new version coming in 2015. The new MacBook Air was the first device unveiled today. It features a 13.3-inch retina display and smaller bezel. Starting at $1,199, it is available next week.

John Ternus, vice president of hardware engineering, called the newest version of the iPad Pro the biggest change to the device since it launched. The screen stretches from almost edge to edge with a minimized bezel, the edge of the display has been flattened and the home button is gone.

The refreshed iPad Pro lineup now includes an 11-inch model, a change from the previous 10.5-inch version. The 11-inch version starts at $799, and the 12.9-inch model starts at $999. Both will ship Nov. 7.

Accessories and apps were also a big part of the presentation. A redesigned Apple Pencil magnetically connects to the device and charges automatically. Apple also showed off a redesigned keyboard folio that has several positions to hold the device for lap use or as a desktop-like terminal.
