Nope. I wouldn’t have gotten in the elevator either.

Visitors and staff at the Museum of Pop Culture were clearly spooked by the creepy “person” lurking in the elevator and elsewhere at the Paul Allen-founded institution in Seattle. Those in the know probably recognized her as Sadako (Samara) from “The Ring” — but that didn’t make it any less scary.

With a tattered dress and hair hanging in her face, a local cosplayer pulled off the stunt, and it’s all part of MoPOP’s After Dark Happy Hour to promote the newly launched exhibition “Scared to Death: The Thrill of Horror Film.”

Sadako will return to the museum Thursday and Friday to freak out guests during the happy hour (21 and over, 5 – 8 p.m.) which includes discounted admission to the exhibition.
