GeekWire’s popular Health Tech Podcast is going on location this Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 7, for a special live interview with Xealth co-founder and CEO Mike McSherry and Mary Haggard, the VP of consumer innovation at Providence St. Joseph Health. Set a reminder here to watch the Facebook Live stream.

We’ll be kicking things off at 3 p.m. with a discussion about McSherry’s journey from leading tech companies like Swype and Nuance Communications to co-founding Xealth, a Providence spinoff developing a new kind of health tech service that lets doctors prescribe digital services.

McSherry worked with Haggard and other Providence executives to develop the idea behind Xealth, which was inspired by the needs of real doctors working in Providence clinics and hospitals.

GeekWire editor Todd Bishop and I will be leading the discussion. We’ll also field questions and thoughts from viewers on Facebook Live to help shape the conversation.

GeekWire’s Health Tech Podcast, sponsored by Providence St. Joseph Health’s Digital & Innovation Team, tells the stories of technology innovators and scientists pushing boundaries with new approaches and fresh ideas in digital health and wellness.
