In a week that could use a dose of comedy relief, the folks at Bad Lip Reading nailed the timing on their latest viral video release. Perhaps even President Donald Trump will crack a smile when he watches the Inauguration Day effort.
The video opens with Trump and his wife Melania greeting outgoing President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
“Oh, surprise! I have some pretzels for you,” Melania “says” in the video as she hands that mysterious blue Tiffany box to Michelle Obama.
Trump and Obama trade barbs as they smile and wave at the cameras and the action then switches to the inauguration ceremony at the Capitol where President George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton chime in.
“Looks like we have a problem,” Bush says.
“Yeah, leave it to me. We’re gonna squeeeeeeze him,” Hillary adds.
The portion dealing with the swearing in of Trump and Vice President Mike Pence both get a little tedious, but the video ends strong with inaugural ball dancing minus the music.
“I’m gonna need you to scrape my bunions,” Trump says as he shuffles across the floor with his wife.
Bad Lip Reading is most famous for its NFL videos as well as its take on political debates and popular movies. “Empire Strikes Back” got the treatment near the end of last year.
