Warmer weather’s just around the corner, those tax returns are coming in, and … oh, who are we kidding? We don’t need a special occasion to drink craft beer and hang with our favorite geeks!

Join us Thursday, April 20 at Pike Brewing Company 6 – 9 p.m. for a night of drinks, snacks, games, and dazzling conversation.

This happy hour is a chance to unwind after work over local spirits, connect with the geeks behind the bylines, and make friends with the young professionals powering Seattle’s booming tech scene.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a GeekWire meetup without some opportunities for play too! We have giant games, a photo booth, and a few other geeky surprises in store.

We’re stoked to take over the Pike Microbrewery Museum, a unique space that showcases 9,000 years of brewing history. We’ll be serving up sustainable pub food, cocktails made from locally produced liquor, and, of course, a selection of Pike’s craft beers.

For many of you, it’s just a short walk from the office and a great excuse to skip the Seattle rush hour slog. If that’s not enough to tempt you, we’ll be giving away GeekWire swag and prizes and coordinating some informal (and totally optional) icebreaking games. You know you wanna.

For this event, it’s cool to be early. The first 50 guests to arrive will get a surprise giveaway — and registering early is the best way to ensure a spot. Pike Brewing is an intimate venue and this meetup could easily sell out. We want you there so don’t sleep on buying those tickets!

If you’re GeekWire Startup, Gold, Super or Galactic Pass Member, first of all, kudos. Second, you don’t need to do anything for this event except show up. If you aren’t a member but love community-minded journalism, a steady clip of fun and informative events, and secret coded messages, find out more about our membership tiers here.

For the rest of you, early-bird tickets are on sale now for a limited time. Register here or below!
