President Donald Trump’s controversial executive order temporarily barring immigrants from a handful of majority-Muslim countries from entering the U.S. may never see the light of day.

A federal judge in Hawaii extended his temporary restraining order on the ban Wednesday, essentially making it impossible to enact the ban without taking it to the Supreme Court, Vox reports. The travel ban has been a lightning rod in the tech community, with hundreds of companies rallying behind Washington state’s initial lawsuit over the order.
