Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan are proud parents of a new baby girl, and just like the many millions of people who connect on Facebook, the couple shared the news with a post on Monday.
The little girl, named August, is the second child for Zuckerberg and Chan, whose first daughter, Maxima, is 18 months old.
The parents said in a letter to their new baby that “childhood is magical” and that they hope she takes the time to play as a little kid and not worry about serious stuff like “better education, fewer diseases, stronger communities, and greater equality” until later.
Because he probably has plenty of work to do himself, and because he’s the father of a toddler, Zuckerberg encouraged August to do what every parent loves.
“I hope you take a lot of naps. I hope you’re a great sleeper. And I hope even in your dreams you can feel how much we love you,” he wrote.
