An Instant Pot in every kitchen: Amazon packs Seattle arena for ‘all hands’ meeting

It’s safe to say that big staff meetings are a little different at Amazon.

Thousands of Amazonians packed Key Arena on Thursday for an “all hands” meeting. Amazon’s summer shopping holiday Prime Day was a focus of the meeting.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos appeared on stage and answered questions during a Q&A session.

The infamous Instant Pot, one of the top sellers on Prime Days past and present also made an appearance.

Many Amazon employees rocked The Tick antennae, ahead of tomorrow’s premiere of the 1990s superhero sendup remake on Amazon Prime Video.

These regular meetings are just another in a long line of examples showing how the growth of Amazon. They’ve long outgrown conference rooms for company meetings and have graduated to arenas, with another example being the company’s post holiday party at CenturyLink Field.

Amazon says it has more than 25,000 people in Seattle, and more than 40,000 in Washington state.
