HQ2.com
The home page for HQ2.com, a company that deals with healthcare data. (HQ2.com screen grab)

This week we learned that if you type relentless.com into a browser window, you get a little better understanding of what type of tech giant lives in Seattle. Thanks for that, KUOW.

But if you’re expecting Amazon to be as clever with its URL game when it comes to the search for its second headquarters location, well, they’re not quite there yet. At least when it comes to the obvious choices.

The folks at HQ2.com are happy to tell you all about how Health Qualityis a “leading applied health services research company that specializes in transforming healthcare data into meaningful, actionable information.”

There’s no Bezos. No tax incentives. No blabbing about how many universities are nearby or empty buildings waiting to be filled with tech workers. No cactuses.

Based in Westlake Village, Calif., Health Quality“delivers real world business solutions that drive and sustain high quality and value in the healthcare industry.”

As if mayors and business leaders praying for success in wooing Amazon wasn’t enough, typing in amazonhq2.com redirects to a GoDaddy page for the URL jesuschrist4u.com. I don’t think Amazon’s RFP mentioned anything about how many churches needed to be within 30 miles of a future headquarters campus.

Over on Twitter, @HQ2 sure doesn’t look like anything Amazon is sitting on. Someone named Andrew Harris owns the handle with a description that reads, “HQ2 is a full-service business interiors company that helps organisations and companies across London and the south-east to transform their premises.”

This could actually be pretty useful, considering that business interiors at a city-to-be-named in North America could eventually use some tweaking if Amazon shows up and starts occupying existing spaces.

HQ2 the interior fixer-uppers in London probably aren’t too stoked about talk that London could make a play for Amazon’s HQ2. Oh, wait. That’s London, Ontario, in Canada, not the U.K.

See how confusing this is?
