YOU get an Echo! YOU get an Echo! YOU get an Echo! Everybody gets an Echooooo! Well, not quite. But, OPRAH!

Step aside, Alexa. Amazon announced that a celebrity voice is filling in for its artificial intelligence for the first time and that voice belongs to Oprah Winfrey.

As a promotion for Winfrey’s annual Favorite Things holiday gift list, revealed Thursday by O, The Oprah Magazine, shoppers will receive guidance from the talk show queen on products such as books, gadgets, desserts, beauty and fashion items and more. For the third year in a row, curated items will be available for purchase in the Oprah’s Favorite Things storefront on Amazon.

You have to go through Alexa to get to Oprah. Say, “Alexa, let’s shop Oprah’s favorite things” and the famous voice kicks in, recommending a favorite product and providing background on why it made her list.

Shoppers can say “yes” to purchase or “no” to hear the next item. During our test, Winfrey said (sang?), “I love trufffflllleeeees!” when she was first activated. I mean, who doesn’t?

“It all started out because I wanted to share some things that were my favorite with the Oprah show audience,” Winfrey said in an Amazon news release. “And now, 20 years later it has become the gift guide for so many people for the holidays. You can always find something really fun for the people you care about.”
