At some point, every kid wants to be a magnifying-glass-wielding archaeologist and spend time unearthing fossils and dinosaur skeletons. Next weekend, the Burke Museum in Seattle is making that dream come true at Dino Weekend, a fossil-filled event for curious kids and science geeks of all stripes.

Check out the lower jaw of a recently discovered T Rex, learn about fossils hands-on with scientists, and dress up for a photo op with a replica Jurassic Park Jeep. There’s even a fossil pit where budding archaeologists can make their very first dig and discover their own fossils.

Dino Weekend takes place March 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Burke Museum, on the University of Washington campus, and is open to all ages. Tickets for this event go early, so be sure to plan in advance. Check out all the details on the Burke Museum’s website.
