Lenora Systems, a Redmond-based provider of IT consulting, software development and project management services is the fastest-growing Pacific Northwest tech company, according to the annual Inc. 5000 list released Wednesday.

The four-year-old company, led by former Microsoft employee Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla pulled in $11.1 million in revenue in 2016. Over the last three years it has grown more than 3,811 percent, according to Inc’s data.

The top-ranked Pacific Northwest company overall came from outside the tech industry this year. BASX Solutions, a Redmond, Ore.-based manufacturer of modular systems, air handling products and cleanroom systems for the building industry, came in at number 51. The 160-person company reported $25.1 million in revenue this year and three year growth of 6,062 percent. Four other Oregon companies made the top 500.

Lenora is joined by five other Washington tech companies in the top quintile of the list. Business management and IT services company Blueprint Consulting Services clocked in at number 161 with three-year growth of 2,538 percent. Bizible, a Seattle startup that recently announced an $8.1 million funding round to help marketers manage and plan for revenue, ranked 179th on the list with 2,405 percent three-year growth.

Seattle software companies Pike13 and Tango Card came in at numbers 328 and 373. Rounding out Washington’s tech representation in the top 500 are Issaquah IT consulting company Sophus IT Solutions and Spokane-based Airbnb competitor Stay Alfred.

While the Seattle area is known for its tech prowess, Washington companies from a variety of industries, including retail, food and beverage, advertising, travel, real estate and health made the list this year. Fast-growing restaurant chain MOD Pizza was the top food and beverage company in Washington at number 327 overall with $131.3 million in revenue and three-year growth of 1,353 percent. Online toy and houseware retailer Kaliber Global was the top retailer from Washington at number 478.

Because of its heavy emphasis on the three-year growth figure, the list is often devoid of large companies. There were a couple exceptions though. Bellevue-based work management company Smartsheet came in at number 1021. the 642-person company reported $64.3 million in revenue and a three-year growth rate of 425 percent. Workflow automation company Nintex came in at number 3460. The 388-person company reported $89.3 million in revenue and a three-year growth rate of 90 percent.

There were also a few notable absences this year. Leafly, often called “Yelp for marijuana,” was the highest ranking Pacific Northwest company on last year’s list, but it dropped off the rankings entirely in 2017. Same thing for mobile marketing company Tune, which made the top 500 for three straight years before coming in at 518 last year.

This story has been updated to accurately reflect Smartsheet’s headcount.
