ReachNow is expanding its dedicated parking lots, known as “Drop Zones,” in Seattle next month.

The car-sharing service, which competes with Car2Go, is opening up a new Drop Zone in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Beginning tomorrow, ReachNow will have reserved all-day parking every Saturday in the parking lot west of Volterra on Ballard Ave.

ReachNow announced its first Seattle Drop Zone, in Capitol Hill, last month. During March, the company provided dedicated parking spots Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m. — peak hours for Capitol Hill’s bustling nightlife scene.

In addition to opening a Ballard Drop Zone, ReachNow announced it will continue operating the Capitol Hill location through April. That zone is on 10th Ave. between Rancho Bravo and Everyday Music.

The Drop Zones are designed to encourage drivers to use ReachNow when traveling to Seattle hotspots where parking is notoriously limited.

ReachNow launched in Seattle in April of last year with 370 vehicles and the fleet has since expanded to 700 cars.
