Add late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel to the list of nonexpectant parents who received an email from Amazon this week alerting them to a purchase made on a baby gift registry that doesn’t exist.

During a bit on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday night, Kimmel said, “Apparently, Amazon Prime now comes with a baby, too, which is amazing” as he referenced an email that showed up in his inbox the night before.

Amazon told GeekWire that a technical glitch was behind the notices, which created a stir on Twitter earlier this week among people who were definitely not pregnant.

“How scary would it be if you got this and then the next day you found out your wife was pregnant,” Kimmel joked. “Amazon knows everything — if you like vitamins, you might also like … a child.”

Kimmel then showed off some real items he bought for real people with real baby registries to have more fun with the entire mishap.

Zach and Candice in Decatur, Ala., for instance, got a Simple Wishes Handsfree Breastpump Bra in black for $30.99 off their registry, compliments of the comedian.
