MOD Pizza chain has raised a fresh $42 million round, led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and PWP Growth Equity.
Last year, MOD Pizza raised $40 million from PWP Growth Equity with participation from well-known leaders in the Seattle tech industry like Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff; T-Mobile COO Jim Alling; and Madrona Venture Group’s Matt McIlwain.
MOD Pizza is headquartered in Seattle and has restaurants in 177 locations in 19 states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
The company, founded by former Seattle Coffee Company co-founders Scott and Ally Svenson, has raised just under $150 million to date.
MOD Pizza will use the latest investment to expand in the U.S. and UK in 2017.
