As any “Magic: The Gathering” player knows, there are a variety of spells to attack opponents and seize their cards. But one or several thieves used decidedly more pedestrian means to steal valuable cards from Seattle’s Green Lake Games.

According to KOMO News, the store was robbed late Wednesday or early Thursday morning. Alaura Mae, who owns Green Lake Games, told KOMO that approximately $15,000 worth of cards, used to play the fantasy game, were stolen.

Other game and comic book stores in the region have been alerted to look out for people trying to sell the stolen cards.

“Total disaster area, but all of my staff showed up immediately, we were able to clean up the store and file our police report. We’re getting back on track now,” Mae told KOMO.
