Leonardo DiCaprio has been chasing after an Oscar since 1994 and now the elusive golden statue may finally be within his reach thanks to a new 8-bit video game called “Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage.” OK, sure, his best actor nomination for “The Revenant” may provide a good shot, too, but you can’t control what the Academy decides the way you can control your keyboard.

The arcade-style game from The Line has DiCaprio running and jumping along the red carpet in hot pursuit of the Oscar. Along the way he dodges photographers, Lady Gaga and icebergs. He has to outrun fellow nominee Eddie Redmayne of “The Danish Girl” and collect as many Golden Globes and SAG Awards as possible. A bonus round will test your finger speed as you have to make DiCaprio “act harder.”

The 41-year-old DiCaprio has been nominated four previous times for an Oscar.

  • 1994, best actor in a supporting role, “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.”
  • 2005, best actor in a leading role, “The Aviator.”
  • 2007, best actor is a leading role, “Blood Diamond.”
  • 2014, producer, best motion picture, “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

The 88th Academy Awards air Feb. 28 on ABC.

Will DiCaprio’s fight for survival as a frontiersman in “The Revenant” finally break his curse? Tap those keys! Leo needs you!
