I’ve built my fair share of large Star Wars spacecrafts, and I’ve seen this cool little 1,322-piece VW camper van in the homes of a couple friends. But something about a life-size replica of a Ford Mustang really stopped me in my Lego tracks.

Perhaps the iconic nature of the brand or the bright blue color is what makes this 1964-1/2 V8 Coupe so fun to look at. NASCAR legend Richard Petty even toured the car (in a video below) and said, “That’s as close to Petty Blue as they could get. … That is neat.”

The #BrickPony, created by LegoLand Florida and Southern Ford Dealers, was unveiled at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 40th anniversary of the Mustang Club of America. Photos of the Lego hot rod stand out on social media feeds dedicated to Ford Mustangs, in which car owners are ever-so-proud to show off classics and more modern versions of the American automobile.

From the tires to the tail lights to the front grille, the Lego car looks good enough to start up and race away in.
